Granary Cottage, originally the historic Abbey Farm’s granary, was fully refurbished in 2014. In its beautiful setting, this delightful two-storey three-bedroomed cottage offers immaculate, stylish and easeful accommodation with its own garden and parking area.
Granary Cottage has an attractive area of garden at its side, with grass and beds, including patio space with table and chairs. An Outback gas barbecue can be provided in the summer months.
As well as having its own ample garden, access to the extensive gardens of Abbey Farm is a stone’s throw away, off the main drive, where approximately three acres of lawn, shrubs, wooded area, stream bog garden and pond can be explored at leisure or simply enjoyed by relaxing on one of the wooden seats, watching and listening to the birds!
Accommodation consists of three bedrooms – one with double bed and built-in wardrobe, and two with single beds; bathroom with Aqualisa shower, separate bath, loo and hand basin; spacious sitting room with Esse gas stove heater (for the cooler months) and large sliding door opening onto a patio with table and chairs (for the warmer months!) and a well equipped kitchen with dual-fuel cooker, microwave oven, under-counter fridge and freezer, dishwasher and washer dryer.
Other facilities include a 35” HD television with Freeview, WiFi broadband, iron and ironing board, hair dryer and board games.
All electricity and gas is included in the tariff. Pure new wool duvets, all bed linen (100% cotton) and bath/hand towels are provided. We request you bring your own beach towels.
Also provided is a “welcome” basket with a few first night necessities, such as toilet tissue, washing up and laundry liquids, dishwasher tablets, tea towels and kitchen cloths, and a few homemade extras from Louise’s kitchen, or even a bottle of her sloe gin for winter stays.
Treats can be arranged for those special occasions – chilled champagne for your arrival, a celebration cake (Louise’s speciality), flowers or even a surprise evening out (babysitter booked!). It is our aim to make your stay as enjoyable and as comfortable as possible in the hope that your holiday will be a happy one and that all memories will be good ones.
