Priory Cottage, originally part of the historic Abbey Farm’s stable complex and fully refurbished in 2013, is a well-appointed retreat – close enough to the town’s facilities and beaches, secluded enough for peace and privacy.
The welcoming three-bedroomed cottage offers bright, clean and comfortable single-storey accommodation with its own parking area, enough room for up to three vehicles.
Priory Cottage has an attractive area of garden at its front, including patio space with table and chairs. An Outback gas barbecue can be provided in the summer months.
Access to the extensive gardens of Abbey Farm is a stone’s throw away, off the main drive – approximately 3 acres of lawn, shrubs, wooded area, stream bog garden and pond can be explored at leisure or simply enjoyed by relaxing on one of the wooden seats, watching and listening to the birds!
Priory Cottage is fully equipped to accommodate up to five people.
Accommodation consists of three bedrooms – one with kingsize bed and built-in wardrobe, one with twin single beds and built-in wardrobe and one with single bed; bathroom with Aqualisa shower/bath; separate loo and hand basin; spacious sitting room with Esse gas stove heater (for the cooler months) and French doors opening onto a patio with table and chairs (for the warmer months!) and a well equipped kitchen-diner with scrubbed wood table and chairs, electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
Other facilities include a 37” HD television with Freeview, WiFi broadband, iron and ironing board, hair dryer and board games.
All electricity and gas is included in the tariff. Pure new wool duvets, all bed linen (100% cotton) and bath/hand towels are provided. We request you bring your own beach towels.
A bountiful “welcome basket” is provided, including such necessities as the first night’s toilet tissue, washing up and laundry liquids, dishwasher tablets, tea towels and kitchen cloths, and a few homemade extras from Louise’s kitchen, or even a bottle of her sloe gin for winter stays.
Treats can be arranged for those special occasions – champagne in the fridge for your arrival, a celebration cake (Louise’s speciality), flowers or even a surprise evening out (babysitter booked!). It is our aim to make your stay as enjoyable and as comfortable as possible in the hope that your holiday will be a happy one and that all memories will be good ones.
