With its historical walled “back garden” providing a stunning backdrop and the calm, uncluttered warmth of the converted farm building, the charming Abbey Cottage offers a perfect year-round escape.
The two-bedroomed cottage offers fresh, clean and comfortable single-storey accommodation with its own parking area in a south-facing courtyard.
A wonderful vintage conservatory opens onto a patio area with table and seating and looks onto gardens, part of which were once the Augustinian Priory cloisters, where further seating can be found. A barbecue is provided for use in the summer months.
Abbey Cottage is fully equipped to accommodate up to four people.
Accommodation consists of one large vaulted bedroom with kingsize bed and walk-in wardrobe, a second bedroom with
twin single beds; bathroom with large shower and free-standing roll-top bath; living area with space for relaxing (in front of the warming wood-burner during autumn and winter stays) and for dining; and a spacious well equipped kitchen with
electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
Other facilities include a 32” HD television with Freeview, WiFi broadband, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, well-stocked bookcase and board games.
All electricity and gas is included in the tariff. Pure new wool duvets, all bed linen (100% cotton) and bath/hand towels are provided. We request you bring your own beach towels.
Also provided is a “welcome” basket with a few first night necessities such as toilet tissue, some washing up and laundry liquids, as well as tea towels and kitchen cloths and a few homemade extras from Louise’s kitchen, or even a bottle of her sloe gin for winter stays.
Treats can be arranged for those special occasions – chilled champagne for your arrival, a celebration cake (Louise’s speciality), flowers or even a surprise evening out (babysitter booked!). It is our aim to make your stay as enjoyable and as comfortable as possible in the hope that your holiday will be a happy one and that all memories will be good ones.
